Mission
The
Delta
Township
Auxiliary
Communications
Service
is established to provide volunteer and emergency communication services
to Delta Township and the surrounding communities as required. It will be the
commitment of DTACS to provide personnel and communications to support local
Fire, Police, and other emergency or disaster services organizations as assigned
or requested.
OBJECTIVES
To provide volunteer assistance to any disaster or emergency situation as requested by the Delta Township Emergency Management Department
To
provide alternative emergency communications to and from the Township EOC,
to the State EOC, and Field Operations sites as required during a major
Township emergency or disaster.
To
provide methods to relay critical information to the Township EOC, and
ultimately to the public regarding highway closures, shelter locations,
public transportation, and housing accommodations to travelers and guests to
our community .
To
assist emergency workers in providing critical information to the EOCs, PIO,
and ultimately to the media regarding a missing person, a
DAC (Disaster Assistance Center) Operation, etc. .
To
provide a two way radio back up communication system during emergencies to emergency
workers without radio communications.
To provide communication interoperability to field, Township EOC, and the State EOC.
